Vulnerability

“Vulnerability is a person’s greatest weakness”. Is it though? I think it’s the greatest strength a person could ever have. Being vulnerable doesn’t necessarily mean weakness. It is coming to a realization that you are weak. Have you ever met someone who is vulnerable? Well, we don’t need to meet anyone, because we are all vulnerable in our own ways. However, overcoming that vulnerability is something not all of us can do. Accepting weakness is the hardest thing for a human. We all want to be strong, putting up an upfront that is unbreakable; not to prove anything to others, but just to prove it to ourselves that we are not weak. Why do we defy our weaknesses? Understanding our frailty is a strength and vulnerability allows us to understand it. So, how is it a drawback when it allows you to thrive? Doesn’t your weakness show that you have areas where you can still grow, places you can excel and things you can do so much better than you’ve done till date? Finding the true you, enhancing yourself but not getting accustomed to the change the world wants you to have is something we still are incapable of understanding. The day we fathom that we are doing what the society wants us to do instead of doing what we truly desire is the day we come amends with our faults, our fragility ,our imperfections and  our demons; that deeply reside within us. Learning to outgrow our faults isn’t going to be a pleasant ride amongst the meadows. It’s going to be like sailing in a fragile boat throughout a thunderstorm. But, the voyage will eventually come to an end; an end where you will overcome your fears, and discover that no matter how many weaknesses you have, you will overcome them and turn them into your strength. And the day you are able to do so, you will know that vulnerability isn’t a person’s greatest weakness, but a quest to figuring out how it could be your strength.
